Estelle Cascino and Nicole Fossa Huergo Win Contrexéville Doubles Title in Match Tiebreak

Estelle Cascino and Nicole Fossa Huergo captured the Grand Est Open 88 doubles title after a comeback victory in Contrexéville.

The second-seeded team defeated top seeds Yvonne Cavallé-Reimers and Laura Pigossi 6-7, 6-2, 10-7 in the final.

Cavallé-Reimers and Pigossi won the opening-set tiebreak 7-3, but Cascino and Fossa Huergo responded strongly by taking the second set 6-2.

With the championship decided by a match tiebreak, Cascino and Fossa Huergo held their nerve to win it 10-7 and complete the comeback.

The result gave the French-Argentine partnership the WTA 125 title after defeating the highest-seeded team in the competition.
