Nao Hibino advanced into the Athens Open main draw after completing a straight-sets victory over Miriana Tona.

The experienced Japanese player won 6-4, 6-0 in the final qualifying round. Tona kept the opening set competitive, but Hibino raised her level after moving ahead and dominated the remainder of the match.
